Gundam

Gundam is the collective name for all Japanese anime series about giant fighting robots called Mobile Suits. There are many series, movies, comic books and video games based on the Gundam franchise. Gundam started what is called the Real Robot genre of anime, where the robots are more like machines than in Super Robot anime. The robots are also bigger and more complicated compared to other robot anime.
