Headingley Stadium

Headingley Stadium is in Leeds, West Yorkshire. It has two international sporting venues, either side of a grandstand. One side is a cricket ground, and the other side is a rugby league ground. The cricket ground opened in 1890 and became a regular Test venue from 1899. The Yorkshire and Yorkshire Women teams both use Headingley as their home ground. The rugby league ground is the home of Leeds Rhinos.[1]
Headingley was first used for a County Championship match on 24 August 1891, when Yorkshire played Kent.[2] Headingley's international debut was on 29 June 1899, when it staged the third Test of that season's series between England and Australia. The match was drawn after the final day was rained off.[3] The first Women's Test at Headingley was between England Women and New Zealand Women in June 1954.[4] Yorkshire Women first played at Headingley in June 1937, against the touring Australia Women.[5]
