Icehouse is an Australian rock band from Sydney. It was formed in 1977 by Iva Davies as Flowers.

History[change | change source]

In 1978, the group became popular due to its musical quality and its magnificent versions of groups or artists.

In 1980, they signed to the independent label Regular Records, where they released their first single, "Can't Help Myself" in May. The song entered the Top 10 in Australia. In October, Flowers released their first album, titled Icehouse.

In 1981, Flowers changed their name to Icehouse due to legal restrictions and confusion with a Scottish group of the same name. [source?]
