John Soursby Glover, Jr. (born August 7, 1944) is an American movie, television, stage, and voice actor. He is known for his roles in RoboCop 2, Scrooged, Batman & Robin, Gremlins 2: The New Batch, and in his television role as Lionel Luther in Smallville. He won an Tony Award in 1995.

Glover was born in Kingston, New York on August 7, 1944.[1] He was raised in Salisbury, Maryland. Glover studied at Wicomico High School and at Towson University. Glover is openly gay.[2] He is partners with Adam Kurtzman since 1993.[2]
