Justin Irvin Upton (born August 25, 1987) is an American professional baseball player. He plays as a outfielder for the San Diego Padres of Major League Baseball (MLB). Upton has also played for the Arizona Diamondbacks from 2007 until 2012 and the Atlanta Braves from 2013 until 2014. He was selected first overall by the Diamondbacks in the 2005 MLB Draft and was the Youngest Player in the National League in 2007. Upton was selected in 2009 for his first All-Star selection.

On December 19, 2014, the Braves traded Upton along with Aaron Northcraft to the San Diego Padres in exchange for Max Fried, Jace Peterson, Dustin Peterson, and Mallex Smith.[1]

Upton signed a six-year contract with the Detroit Tigers prior to the 2016 season.
