Kantaji Temple

From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kantojiu Temple (Bengali: কান্তজীউ মন্দির) at Kantanagar is a late-medieval Hindu temple in Dinajpur District, Bangladesh. It was built by Maharaja Pran Nath; its construction started in 1702 and ended in 1752,[1] during the reign of his son Maharaja Ramnath.[2] It has one of the best examples of terracotta architecture in Bangladesh. It once had nine spires, but they were all destroyed in an earthquake in 1897.[3]
