Kaori Matsumoto (松本 薫, Matsumoto Kaori, born September 11, 1987) is a female Japanese athlete. She is best known as a judoka who competed in the Summer Olympic Games.[1]

She was born in Kanazawa, Ishikawa.

Matsumoto won the gold medal in the lightweight (57 kg) division at the 2010 World Judo Championships.

She won gold at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the Women's 57 kg category.[2]
