Boris Claudio "Lalo" Schifrin (June 21, 1932 – June 26, 2025)[1] was an Argentine pianist, composer, arranger and conductor. He was best known for his movie and TV scores since the 1950s, including the theme from Mission: Impossible and Enter the Dragon.

Schifrin received five Grammy Awards and six Oscar nominations. Schifrin was also known for his works with Clint Eastwood from the late 1960s to the 1980s, particularly the Dirty Harry movies.

Schifrin died on June 26, 2025 at a hospital in Los Angeles, California from problems caused by pneumonia, five days after his 93rd birthday.[2]
