Laura Ziskin

Laura Ellen Ziskin[1] (March 3, 1950 – June 12, 2011)[2] was an American movie producer. She was the executive producer of the romantic comedy Pretty Woman (1990). She was the first woman to produce the Academy Awards telecast alone. Ziskin was born in San Fernando Valley, California.

Ziskin was married to Alvin Sargent between 2010 until her death.

Ziskin died on June 12, 2011 from breast cancer in Santa Monica, California at the age of 61.[2]
