Loki Laufeyson, also known as Loki Odinson by adoption and as the God of Mischief, is a fictional character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) media franchise. He is based on the Marvel Comics character and Norse mythological deity of the same name, "Loki". Loki is portrayed by actor Tom Hiddleston. Loki is the adopted brother of Thor Odinson. Throughout the MCU movies, Loki has been depicted as a complex character who sometimes allies himself with the Avengers and his family, or serves his own interests. This leads to a lot of conflict and betrayal. He is known for his wit, cunning, and ability to shape-shift.
