MGR Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam

MGR Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam was founded by S. Thirunavukkarasu. This party was split from the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam to join the BJP alliance. MGR ADMK was part of National Democratic Alliance. It took part in the Central government of Atal Bihari Vajpayee.[1] Later was merged with BJP.

In the legislative assembly elections in Tamil Nadu 2001, 3 candidates from MGR ADMK participated(supported by NDA). From them two candidates were elected. The party received 129,474 votes in the election as total.[2]
