Maria Jesus Contreras (born 1993) is a Chilean illustrator and graphic designer.[1][2]

Early life and career[change | change source]

Contreras was raised in Temuco, Chile.

She studied graphic design at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

She has contributed to numerous international media outlets, including The New York Times,[3] New York Magazine,[4] The New Yorker,[5] Berliner Zeitung,[6] the Los Angeles Times,[1] The Atlantic,[7] and Texas Monthly.[8]

In 2022, Contreras was awarded YoungGuns International Award Winner.[9]
