Mariann Mayberry

Mariann Mayberry (May 25, 1965 – August 1, 2017) was an American actress. She was born in Springfield, Missouri, though she was raised in Chicago, Illinois. She spent most of her career in Chicago performing at the Steppenwolf Theatre Company. She was known for her stage roles in August: Osage County and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. In movies, she was known for her role as Mother in the 2005 movie War of the Worlds.

Mayberry died of ovarian cancer at her sister's house in New Haven, Connecticut on August 1, 2017, at the age of 52.[1][2]
