Mateja Matevski (13 March 1929 – 6 June 2018) was a Macedonian poet, literary and theater critic, essayist, and translator.

Matevski was the editor of the literary journals "Mlada literatura" Association. He was also been the president of the Council of the Struga Poetry Evenings Festival, "Racinovi sredbi". He was a corresponding member of the North-American Academy in the Spanish language. Matevski was a member of the Bjornstjerne Bjornson Academy in Molde, Norway.

Matevski died on 6 June 2018 in Skopje, Macedonia, aged 89. His funeral was held at the Butel City Cemetery in Skopje.[1][2][3]
