Meir Ya'ari

Meir Ya'ari (Hebrew: מאיר יערי, 24 April 1897 – 21 February 1987) was an Israeli MapamAlignment politician, educator and social activist. He was a member of the Knesset from 1949 until 1974. He was born in Kańczuga, Austria-Hungary. Ya'ari was also the Opposition Leader from 1949–1951, 1952–1955 and 1967–1969.[1]

Ya'ari died on 21 February 1987 in Israel at the age of 89.
