Mercer is a small town in the Waikato District, New Zealand. It is located 70 kilometers north of Hamilton and 58 kilometers south of Auckland on the eastern bank of the Waikato River. It is a primary school in the village. Prior to creation of the Auckland supercity in 2010. Mercer was located within the Franklin District.
