Fictional character biography
[change | change source]Rex Mason was originally an average man and a skilled archaeologist, leading a relatively normal life until he was exposed to a strange combination of elements during an archaeological expedition. After being transformed by a mysterious meteorite that contained elemental powers, Rex gained the ability to change his body into various chemical elements and compounds. This transformation was the result of an experiment conducted by his employer, Simon Stagg, who sought to recreate the results of the meteorite's powers. He is primarily one of the Outsiders, but has also been a member of the Justice League of America, Doom Patrol, Justice League Europe, the Seven Soldiers of Victory and The Terrifics.
Powers and abilities
[change | change source]The character is an elemental superhero with the power to shape-shift his body into various forms, using the elements contained within the human body. He also possesses the power of virtual invulnerability in his inert state.
