Monmouth County Park System

From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Monmouth County Park System is a department[1] of Monmouth County, New Jersey that owns public parks and provides recreational activities.[2]

The Park System was created in 1960.[3] Since that time, it has obtained over 18,000 acres of property and created dozes of parks throughout Monmouth County.[2] The Park System was the first agency in the United States to be accredited by the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA).[3] It is still accredited today.
