Moraes Moreira

Antônio Carlos Moreira Pires (July 8, 1947 – April 13, 2020), better known as Moraes Moreira, was a Brazilian musician and songwriter.[1] During the 1970s he played guitar and sang in the band Os Novos Baianos.[2] After playing in Os Novos Baianos, Moreira had a solo career where he recorded 29 albums.[3] Moreira was born in Ituaçu, Bahia, Brazil.

Moreira died of a heart attack on April 13, 2020 in Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil at the age of 72.[4]
