Nakhon Ratchasima

From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Nakhon Ratchasima is a city in Thailand's Nakhon Ratchasima Province.

History[change | change source]

The collapse of the Royal Plaza Hotel killed 137 people in the city on 13 August 1993.

A high-speed rail line from Bangkok is being planned. The line will be built meters above ground, on 15 kilometers of the track, "to avoid causing traffic problems in downtown Muang district", between Phukhao Lat and Ban Ko railway stations.[1]

A mass shooting occurred in the city on 8 and 9 February 2020.
