Kharkiv University or Karazin University^[1] officially V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University is one of the major universities in Ukraine, and earlier in the Russian Empire and Soviet Union. It was founded in Kharkiv in 1804 by Vasily Karazin. It is the second oldest university in modern-day Ukraine.^[2]

In 2022, the university was severely damaged by the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
