Birgitte Caroline "Nena" von Schlebrügge (born January 8, 1941) is a Swedish-German model. She was active from the 1950s and 1960s. She started her high-fashion modelling career in London in 1957. She worked at Vogue and Harper's Bazaar.
She was married to writer Timothy Leary from 1964 until they divorced in 1965. Then, she was married to academic Robert Thurman from 1967 until his death in 2026.
Her daughter is actress Uma Thurman and her granddaughter is actress Maya Hawke.[1]
She modeled for ‘Famntaget’ (‘The Embrace’) in Sweden.
