The Nepal men's cricket team (Nepali: नेपाल राष्ट्रिय क्रिकेट टिम) has been active since 1996. Also known as The Rhinos,[1] it is governed by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), which has been an Associate Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) since 1996. Previously, CAN were an Affiliate Member from 1988.[2] Nepal play first-class matches and two forms of international cricket: One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I).[3]

Nepal were awarded a temporary T20I status by the ICC in June 2014 until the 2015 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier.[4][5] On 15 March 2018, Nepal gained ODI status for the first time. They also regained their T20I status. Their ODI status was awarded after they had won the first playoff match in the 2018 Cricket World Cup Qualifier.[6][7][8]
