Nick Offerman (born June 26, 1970) is an American actor, writer, and carpenter. He is best known for his breakout role as Ron Swanson in the NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation.

Offerman was born on June 26, 1970 in Minooka, Illinois.[2] He was raised in Chicago, Illinois. Offerman studied at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has been married to Megan Mullally since 2003.[2]
