One Hundred Years of Solitude (Spanish: Cien años de soledad) is a book written by Nobel Prize-winning author Gabriel García Márquez. It was published in 1967 and translated to English by Gregory Rabassa in 1970. This book is thought to be Marquez's magnum opus and one of the best books ever written in the Spanish language.
