Orivesi
Orivesi is a town and municipality in Finland. It is in Pirkanmaa. The municipality was founded in 1865. It has been classed as a town since 1986.
Nearby municipalities include Juupajoki, Jämsä, Kangasala, Kuhmoinen, Ruovesi and Tampere.
There were more than 9,600 people in Orivesi (as of January, 2014). The name Orivesi means "stallion water".
