"Pictures of Matchstick Men" is a 1968 song by British band Status Quo. It is the debut single from their debut studio album Picturesque Matchstickable Messages from the Status Quo. It went to number 12 in the United States, number 7 in the United Kingdom and Germany, number 18 in Belgium and Austria, number 19 in Australia, number 3 in the Netherlands and number 5 in Switzerland.
