The presidency of the Council of the European Union[1] is responsible for the work of the Council of the European Union, which is the co-legislator of the EU legislature along with the European Parliament.

The role is given to member states of the EU every six months. The presidency is not an individual, but a role that is held by a national government.

The presidency is currently, held by Poland, since January 2025.
