Queso fresco (Mexican Spanish for fresh/natural cheese) is one of many varieties of Mexican cheeses (Oaxaca, Menonita, Panela, etc.). You can see this cheese in many stores or supermarkets in the USA. It is a crumbly and white cheese, not very aromatic, fairly bland, and is used for toppings on tostadas and sopes etc.
