ReShonda Young is an American entrepreneur who founded the first Black-owned bank in the United States in over twenty years.[1] She started and franchised a popcorn business, Popcorn Heaven.[2] In 2020, Young won a lawsuit against the United States Government.[3] She claimed that the government's Consumer Financial Protection Bureau was not following the law to help end discrimination against women-owned and Black-owned businesses.[3] Young is also the director of an organization that supports Black business owners in Waterloo, Iowa, United States.[2]
