Rian Craig Johnson (born December 17, 1973) is an American movie director, screenwriter, editor and actor. He is best known for directing the movies Brick (2005), The Brothers Bloom (2008), Looper (2012), Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017) and Knives Out (2019). He has directed three episodes of the AMC series Breaking Bad. He has also had small roles in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016) and BoJack Horseman.

Johnson was born in Silver Spring, Maryland. He has been dating movie writer Karina Longworth since 2011.[1]
