Rod Gilbert

Rodrigue Gabriel Gilbert (July 1, 1941 – August 22, 2021) was a Canadian professional ice hockey forward. He played his entire career for the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League (NHL) from 1960 until 1978. He played right wing on the GAG line. He was honored into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1982. He was the first player in Rangers history to have his number retired. Gilbert was born in Montreal, Quebec.

Gilbert died on August 22, 2021 in New York City, aged 80.[1]
