Rodrigo Paz

Rodrigo Paz Delgado (20 December 1933 – 17 August 2021) was an Ecuadorian politician and businessman. He was the mayor of Quito from 1988 to 1992 He ran for President of Ecuador in the 1996 election.[1] He was a member of the Democracia Popular.[2] Paz was Minister of Finance from 1980 to 1981.[3] He was born in Tulcán, Carchi, Ecuador.

Paz died on 17 August 2021 at a hospital in Tampa, Florida from gastrointestinal bleeding, aged 87.[4]
