Ryan Thomas Gosling (born November 12, 1980) is a Canadian actor, director, musician and writer. He is known for his roles in The Notebook, in Half Nelson, The Big Short, La La Land, and Blade Runner 2049. He was nominated for a Golden Globe Award and an Academy Award.

Gosling was born on November 12, 1980 in London, Ontario, Canada.[1] He studied at Cornwall Collegiate, at the Vocational School, and at the Lester B. Pearson High School. He now lives in Los Angeles, California.
