The secretary of state for housing, communities and local government, also known as the communities secretary or levelling up secretary, is a secretary of state in the Government of the United Kingdom.
They are responsible for the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities.[3] They are a member of the Cabinet of the United Kingdom, seventh in the ministerial ranking.[4]
