Steve King (born July 4, 1941)^[1] is an American businessman and Republican Party activist.^[2] He is the founder of King Capital LLC,^[3] an equity investment and real estate company.^[4] He is a former FBI agent.^[5]

In 1988, he campaigned unsuccessfully for the Republican U.S. Senate nomination in Wisconsin.^[6]

In July 2017, President Donald Trump nominated King to be the next United States Ambassador to the Czech Republic.^[7] This nomination was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on October 5, 2017.^[8]
