Thomas Kent Wetherell (December 22, 1945 – December 16, 2018) was an American politician and educator. He was born in Daytona Beach, Florida. He was a Democrat. Wetherell was the 86th Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives from 1991 to 1992. He was the 13th President of Florida State University from 2003 to 2010.

Wetherell died from complications of prostate cancer on December 16, 2018 in Tallahassee, Florida, aged 72.[1]
