Error relating to election of ALP (Anti-Communist)members to the Victorian upper house[change source]

No ALP (Anti-Communist) member ever won election to the Legislative Council in Victoria. Only one, Frank Scully in 1955, was elected to the Victorian Legislative Assembly. Frank McManus, who had not previously held public office, was elected to the Senate in 1955 for a term of six years commencing on 1 July 1956.
