Betelgeuse may already have passed[change source]
Given that Betelgeuse, as it appears to us, is, as the article states, 640 light years away, it may already have gone supernova. This is not a small point. Astronomy articles often refer to distant stars as if they were still as they appear now.---92.40.215.203 (talk) 15:10, 5 June 2023 (UTC)
