Convicted rapist[change source]

"William Henry Cosby Jr. is an American convicted rapist". Is he now still a convicted rapist because he got released by the court? I do not know exactly what the laws are in this case. 50.30.176.24 (talk) 20:53, 2 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there! He was convicted of a crime, and thus still is still a convicted criminal. Grim Sleeper is an example of a convicted former criminal, but was still convicted and thus a convicted criminal. Fixing26 (talk) 21:14, 2 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Fixing26: I looked at the article for Grim Sleeper and it never said he was released from prison. Bill Cosby was released from prison by the court on June 30, 2021. The court said the conviction was wrong. That is why I thought he is not any more convicted of rape. 50.30.176.24 (talk) 21:30, 2 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I see what you mean - I heard of Cosby's release but not that the conviction overturned, which it has been. I'll remove the sentence from the lede as it was judged wrongful. Fixing26 (talk) 21:34, 2 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
