Remove tag?[change source]

I added a reference after seeing this article in Category:All articles needing additional references. After adding the ref I saw the category is still attached to the page and wondered if a Wp:BOT will remove it later or whether I should do it myself. The user who added the tag in 2015 was user:StevenJ81 who I believe is still active here and may know the answer. Thanks in advance, Ottawahitech (talk) 13:13, 27 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You have to remove the tag for the article to come out of the category. -DJSasso (talk) 13:15, 27 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I was asking not only for the benefit of myself, but also to find a way to bring this to the attention of others who add references to articles in the above mentioned category. I am not sure if this information is already documented somewhere and I simply missed it? Just wondering where is the best place to add this information. Thanks. I am not sure off the top of my head where it is. But to be fair it is common sense that if you fix the issue you remove tag that says there is an issue because there is no longer an issue... Sometimes I am not sure if you are just trolling because your questions often have completely obvious answers that should confuse no one. -DJSasso (talk) 14:28, 27 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

That being said I made it even easier by linking to a help page on en.wiki from the template. -DJSasso (talk) 14:43, 27 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Djsasso: First of all I want to say that I am not trolling! It may seem common sense to you since you have been here much longer than I have, and spend much more time here than I do. Actually, it is not even obvious to me that the tag should be removed at this point because I only added one reference and the tag says: needs more sources (plural).
As far as common sense, it can only be common between people of a certain level of experience, age, nationality, etc. It is my understanding that Users here may come from very different backgrounds?
BTW I want to thank you for articulating your concern. I have been accused of being a wp:troll by others who refused to tell me why. Ottawahitech (talk) 15:06, 27 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
To be clear I am not accusing you of being a troll, I am just unsure of your edits sometimes. But yes, whether or not the tag needs to come off after you add one or multiple references is a judgement decision you have to make. Just like the person who placed the tag made a judgement call that it didn't have enough (in this case an easy one since it had none). We can't really easily tell you when because every page is different. To fully meet notability for example rule of thumb people say is three sources, but to remove the tag you don't necessarily have to put three on. But big long articles might need twenty added for example. Go with your gut. -DJSasso (talk) 15:11, 27 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Djsasso: to be honest going with my gut will get me into trouble in no time at all, in my experience. (I would like to put a smilie face here - but I won't because it is frowned upon by some on Simple), Ottawahitech (talk) 15:28, 27 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Honestly, I would leave it there. The source you provide looks like it was provided by BPRC itself. It probably did so for perfectly reasonable reasons, and usually a company's own information is a reasonable reference for its location, as long as there are other RS around to verify other things. But there still aren't really any independent sources there. StevenJ81 (talk) 20:25, 27 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
