A fact from Canada appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know? column on 7 February 2016. The text of the entry was as follows:

A suggestion was made to split this into History of Canada and a current article, like History of Spain versus Spain.

For major cities of Canada, only the top 20 by metro area should be included, so we don't have major disputes.
