- I don't believe there is any evidence that this was ever widely played. I knew Prichard quite well, and he was uncritical in his selections on this topic. I'm not saying the idea was a fabrication; I'm saying it was not a notable variant of chess. Macdonald-ross (talk) 08:29, 25 January 2021 (UTC)
