Talk:List of prehistoric bony fish genera

General discussion. I am concerned about this page, but not so much as to be sure it should be deleted. It is a simplified version of the En wiki page, and the author has done well so far. My concern is that we have many, many users at secondary school level, and some at junior school level. WP doesn't make available to us the exact breakdown.

Here is the issue: not even first degree undergraduates in biology will meet most of these species, let alone schoolchildren. Many are only barely literate (that's the children, not the fish!). I'll withdraw the complaint immediately if anyone can prove otherwise.

The question is, simply, should we have pages on such specialized topics. If you look at the way I handled the chess pages (which faced a rather similar issue ) you can see that I was very conscious of the target audience.
