Additional info needed?[change source]

Hello, I think additional information would be useful. If she really held a record this must have been noted somewhere, along with her birth and death dates. All I find is that en:Lena Michaëlis, a discus thrower broke a record that was held by Kolthof. Michaelis seems to have been born in 1905. Eptalon (talk) 08:19, 1 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • @Eptalon: thanks for your research. And yes, good questions. At the website of the Dutch atchletics federation I found a list of the former Dutch national record. See here. On page 83 you see the women's Dutch discus thow records and on page 82 the javelin throw; unfortunatly without the date of birth. (See here an overview with national champions including her). I added several newspaper articles about these records. Most of information about 'historic' Dutch people can't be found via internet. There are several free online newspaper databases, I uses mainly delpher.nl to write articles. On the image here you see here pictured with her club members. They look like all to be around the same age. See another picture of her in 1927 here. I will try to find more information about her. There are several 100s newspaper articles about her here with Kolthoff and here with Kolthof. SportsOlympic (talk) 10:10, 1 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
She could have been Martha Cecile Kolthoff (born 27 January 1908). see here. It could be, but we can’t be sure, as she was born in Batavia, now called Indonesia. SportsOlympic (talk) 11:46, 1 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Well I actually think it is her!! The parents of Martha Cecile Kolthoff were “Abraham Kolthoff” and “Johanna Cornelia Brandon”‏.see here. Abraham Kolthoff died on 29 September 1940 in The Hague (mother died later also in the Netherlands) See here. So somewhere between 1908 and 1940 the family moved to The Hague. Martha (athletics competitor of this article) was affiliated with the athletics club in The Hague… SportsOlympic (talk) 12:02, 1 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Ahh, and Martha Cecile married on 20 August 1937 in The Hague! see here. SportsOlympic (talk) 12:02, 1 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
