Deletion[change source]

@Wekeepwhatwekill Having little or no references is not a valid reason to quickly delete. If that were a QD criteria, then a large number of Simple English Wikipedia's article are eligible for quick deletion. It should be easy to find sources that cover this subject, hence proving its notability. — *Fehufangą✉ Talk page 12:51, 29 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@*Fehuganga I'm going to disagree only slightly with you. According to WP:REFB it's the responsibility of the O.P to have references in any article they write, it also states that content has to be verifiable. Now does it say if it isn't, it will be deleted? Not at all, however, it does say "Material provided without a source is significantly more likely to be removed from an article." Since this article was 1 to 2 sentences long, neither of which was referenced, it stands to reason that both sentences would be removed, at that point, there would be no article, just a blank space which would be deleted as a blank page. @Wekeepwhatwekill Still, not a valid QD criteria. Articles are not deleted just because they lack references, because that's just throwing out content without even attempting to improve it. In the current form, do you still wish to delete the article? — *Fehufangą✉ Talk page 13:14, 29 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Very hard keep: I just added some new reference for the page and further detailed the more modern station wagons here. Please do not delete as this article does have reference which are notable and important for Simple English. Angela Kate Maureen Pears 14:49, 29 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks to Tropical Storm Angela's improvements, there are now references and the deletion reason no longer applies. Wekeepwhatwekill, in the time you took to write both the QD message and the message on this talk page, you could have quite easily added numerous references to this article. Deletion isn't cleanup and articles like this are unfortunately typical on this Wikipedia and on pretty much every Wikipedia other than en. --Ferien (talk) 19:15, 29 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@*Fehufanga When I tagged the article it looked like this. Two sentences and no references. The current form is great, and concensus is against me, which I accept. I tagged it because deleting the two sentences that made up the article would have left a blank article. Looks good now. Wekeepwhatwekill  Speak! 12:33, 1 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
