Copyrighted Lyrics(?)[change source]

Though Văn Cao's family did confirm the donation of the national anthem, other people are arguing that this national anthem is protected by international copyright laws since the poet died on 1995. I'm currently trying to research letters and news regarding the use of the anthem, but I want to hear your thoughts. MarioRichie1912 (talk) 23:36, 25 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@MarioRitchie1912: You did the right thing, removing the lyrics because of potential copyright, but an edit that large should have some form of consensus first. As well, you might want to add a source, or your edit might be reverted. I personally think that if the lyrics are under potential copyright then keep it off the page, until sources prove otherwise. @MarioRichie1912: Edit to fix ping. Zhangj1079 (T|C) 16:58, 3 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Zhangj1079: Thank you. I do understand that the edit was very large. I do have some sources as of the moment, but I'm trying to find more in case. [1] [2] I'm also working on the Normal English page of this anthem, regarding the copyright etc. But again, thank you. MarioRichie1912 (talk) 17:32, 3 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
