Keeping track[change source]

I just wanted to point out, there may be other civil wars involving Yemen

  • The Yemeni civil war of 1994, also known as first Yemeni civil war
  • The second Yemeni civil war (this article's subject); started in 2014

Before a common Yemen (The Yemeni unification happened in 1990), before that there was North Yemen, and South Yemen:

Note that many of these were probably also fought by proxy: States other than the warring states (North/South Yemen) fought in these wars or supported different groups who did. While it is not on me to judge politics, I think that much like Somalia, Yemen is probably a failed state; the government isn't recognized by all people, the state likely hasn't ocntrol over all its territory. Looking at it in early 2021, there likely isn't a state "Yemen", there may be a few factions who claim to be the legitimate government. In this context, I think it is very important that additions/changes to this (and any other Yemen-related articles) are as neutral as possible. --Eptalon (talk) 00:05, 6 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
