Usage
Template:ISO 639 name bar is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code bar, for example: {{Translated page |bar |name of page at Bavarian Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the Bavarian Wikipedia and could be used to include pages in Category:Pages translated from Bavarian Wikipedia (may be created using {{Translated sub-cat |bar}}).
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|bar| some text in Bavarian}} wraps the text with <span lang="bar"> and includes articles in Category:Articles containing Bavarian-language text. Also available is {{Lang-bar |some text in Bavarian}} which displays as Bavarian: some text in Bavarian.
- {{R from other language|bar|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from Bavarian-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|bar}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to Bavarian-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
