Usage
Template:ISO 639 name gv is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code gv, for example: {{Translated page |gv |name of page at Manx Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the Manx Wikipedia and could be used to include pages in Category:Pages translated from Manx Wikipedia (may be created using {{Translated sub-cat |gv}}).
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|gv| some text in Manx}} wraps the text with <span lang="gv"> and includes articles in Category:Articles containing Manx-language text. Also available is {{Lang-gv |some text in Manx}} which displays as Manx: some text in Manx.
- {{R from other language|gv|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from Manx-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|gv}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to Manx-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
